Rob Cook

Rob Cook has over 25 years of experience as a business leader, including being VP of Software Development at Pixar, running two startup companies, and consulting as a senior advisor at leading technology companies. Most recently, he served as Commissioner of a group created under President Obama to fix government technology. In this position, he put his Changes & Transitions Strategist training to practical use navigating the complexities of politics and government and leading his team through a tumultuous change in administration.

Rob has a long-time meditation practice and has served on boards at numerous nonprofits, including Spirit Rock Meditation Center.

Rob is the original author of Pixar’s RenderMan software which revolutionized the effects and animation industries. Because of its impact he was awarded the first Oscar given for software, elected to AMPAS, and elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
